March 2024 Best of Beauty Products

We’re starting to leave the winter and spring forward to a new season! With a new season, our beauty needs can change causing us to have to find new products that continue to support the health and growth of your skin.

Cleansing Wash- Micellar Water

Skin care is similar to hair care: the proper steps will ensure that your skin have an equal foundation to start. I think about using micellar water as a quick wipe. It is not supposed to make you feel like you did an entire skincare routnine. Micellar Water is the equivalent to wiping your hands off when cooking. I use the Walmart Version of the Garnier Micellar Water (Blue Bottle).

Clarifying Wash- The Inkey List’s Oat Cleansing Balm

Your clarifying wash should get off any oils and dirt that the micellar water did not get off. If you wear makeup, the Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm will remove even the most flawless of faces.

Moisturizing Wash- Khiels Ultra Facial Cleanser or LaRoche Posay Purifying Foaming Cleanser

You need to return the moisture back to your face. My go-tos usually have ingredients that support oily faces and you cannot go wrong with Khiels or LaRoche Posay.

Toner- LaRoche Posay Effaclar Clarifying Solution Acne Toner

Using a toner maintains the pH of your skin, and also ensures that the moisture you just worked back in your face does not leave. Toners can be drying but I found that LaRoche Posay’s Effaclar Clarifying Solution does not my skin out and is an affordable solution!

Eye Cream- The Inkey List’s Caffeine Eye Cream

I don’t use eye cream often, but when I do I use the Inkey Lists’s Caffeine Eye Serum. It is the perfect product for a little going a long way and its price tag make it high quality AND affordable.

Serums- depends on your skin needs!

  • Overall skin health: Hyaluronic Acid from the Ordinary or the Inkey List! High quality, affordable skin care is what we aim for! I like the Inkey List packaging because it is less messy when traveling.

  • Skin Antioxidant: Niacinamide from the Inkey List is again high-quality and affordable. If you’re looking for its twin that is more readily available in Target, I always use The Ordinary!

Moisturizer- La Roche-Posay Toleriane Double Repair Moisturizer

For years, Khiels Ultra Face Cream has been a staple in the line up. When traveling, that same produt was left and a Target run as needed. LaRoche Posay’s Toleriane Double Repair Moisturizer saved the day! This product is a more affordable moisturizer and also is in Target, Walmart, Amazon, and Ulta .

Sunscreen- Black Girl Sunscreen SPF30

Sunscreen is an important part of skin health, and Black Girl Sunscreen is affordable and doesn’t make the skin feel heavy! While there is a slight white cast, I have found that it fades within an hour.
