Blogmas- Day 10 | Why You Should Bet on Yourself

We’ve officially hit the end of my Blogmas series, and whew! It’s been a journey of consistency and vulnerability that I had to dig deep and complete this challenge because it takes a lot to share all of my thoughts with the world.

On the last day of Blogmas, I encourage you to bet on yourself. Now, what could that mean? Record AND publish the podcast you want to do. Share your artwork on your social media. Upload the Youtube videos you’ve had sitting in the drafts. Honestly, whatever you want your next steps to be, ACTIVELY work towards that goal.

It is so easy to stay in your head, and think that markets or focuses are oversaturated, but the world population around 7.88 BILLION people. There’s somebody that will value your content, passions or gifts.

Let’s be honest: betting on myself helped me get out of the classroom and gain new professional opportunities. As uncomfortable as me taking the first step was (especially as an introvert), I have found that I know more about what I want than those who either manage, report or work with me. You never know how much you can grow; I’ve realized that we often hide our talents and gifts because it is easier not to hear the judgements, naysayers, and experience the intrusive inner voice that says this will never be as great as you believe it can be.

My phrase of this year: “I can do hard things . I can do hard things with grace. I have the audacity to be greater than I was before”.

I hope that you choose to bet on yourself, and know that God made you the way he did because he knew just how much the world needed your gifts and talents.

Happy New Year!
