Personal Savings Challenges for the Semi-Monthly Earner

A new year is closely approaching, and many are thinking about ways to save money by the end of the new year. Some people can easily calculate how much they plan on savings, but others (like me) need visuals to help them see the progress in which their making.

Many savings challenges floating around the internet are either weekly, bi-weekly, monthly ot based on specific amount of times. However, I am a proud semi-monthly or twice a month salaried individual. Now you might be wondering, “isn’t semi-monthly and bi-weekly the exact same?” Well no. In fact, bi- weekly earners receive 26 checks a year and semi-monthly receive 24 checks a year. The difference of those check really matter, especially when it comes to savings goals.

Saving money does not have to be difficult; in-fact, planning your savings and establishing the “why” behind your savings goals can help you be more intentional and saavy about your specific dollar amount.
